The meeting was held at Darrington Coffee Co. and Martha Rasmussen opened the meeting.
Review and Approval of the Treasurer’s Report:
Steve is on vacation so no Treasurer’s Report was submitted for approval.
Approval of Last Meeting’s Minutes: Roselie moved to “approve the minutes of the March 21, 2022 Darrington Strong Board meeting”, Dave seconded and the motion carried.
Website Updates:
Martha reported that the top hits were: community calendar, Mountain Loop highway, Squire Creek Campground, dispersed campsites and bicycling. The community calendar has been rebuilt and there were 2,994 sessions with the bounce rate down to 34.26.
Unfinished Business:
Darrington Street Fair: Linn updated us on the dates & activities for this year’s event, which will be combined with the July 4th activities and held at Old School Park. She obtained permission from town hall for this date and also for August 6 (National Night Out), as well as a date in September.
Darrington Strong Website: Roselie reported on the progress of the website progress with Casper. She cited the PCTA website as a good example of what they’re working towards.
Earthday Cleanup: Martha announced the event will be held on Thursday April 22 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Fortson Mill.
New Business:
DS General Meetings: Roselie moved to “resume the Darrington Strong general meetings at the Darrington Library conference room from 4:00 to 6:00 PM”. Dave seconded and the motion was tabled after lengthy discussion.
New Board Member: Martha and the Board welcomed Savannah Wakeland as a new board member.
Darrington Strong Updates:
JoAnn & Ken Milton updated us on their retirement plans.
Martha announced Savannah Wakeland as the new administrator for the Darrington Strong Facebook page.
