The meeting was held at Darrington Coffee Co. and Martha Rasmussen opened the meeting.
Review and Approval of the Treasurer’s Report: Steve submitted the treasurer’s report for review, showing a total of $24,463.18 in all accounts. Rick moved to “approve the treasury report as submitted”; Marla seconded and the motion carried.
Approval of Last Meeting’s Minutes: Savannah moved to “approve the minutes of the July 18, 2022 Darrington Strong Board meeting”; Steve seconded and the motion carried.
Website Updates: No analytics to report, per Martha.
Unfinished Business:
Darrington Strong Website: Nothing new to report, per Roselie (via text).
Newsletter: Martha stated that the ad hoc committee (Roselie, Martha & Marla) must meet soon to get this done.
New Business:
Whitehorse Community Artisans: Savannah introduced discussion of the details of using “Square” for purchases & will updated us as the process unfolds.
Darrington Day Celebration: Savannah wanted to know if we were going to hold the event again. Martha will work with her on it.
Darrington Strong Updates:
Friends for Public Use: Martha reported that the gravel she purchased for road improvements will have to wait to be distributed because the road adopter broke their leg.
Whitehorse Community Artisans: Savannah updated us on the August 27 event at the Darrington Community Center & reported that there are 12 vendors so far.
North Mountain Lookout Grand Opening: Rick & Martha reported on the success of the event.
