The meeting was held at Moe’s Coffee and Martha Rasmussen opened the meeting.
Treasurer’s Report and Approval of Budget:
Ken read the treasurer’s report with a grand total of all accounts at $22,299.50. Roselie moved to “approve the current treasurer’s report”, Dave seconded and the motion carried.
Approval of Last Meeting’s Minutes:
Dave moved to “approve the minutes of the August 16, 2021 Darrington Strong Board meeting”, JoAnn seconded and the motion carried.
Martha reported that the process on the “Darrington Strong” website is slow-going but progressing and showed us the “Discover Darrington” site. The top hits were on the North Mtn Lookout page and the Boulder River Trail page. Total page views: 2,530. Sessions: 1,574.
JoAnn introduced her replacement as the Darrington Events Coordinator, Linn Brooks, who has been in the community for 37 years and 27 years with the school district.
Website: Roselie initiated discussion on hiring a website developer & Linn suggested Kaleb Wyatt as a local talent who may be able to help.
SR 530 Cleanup: Martha informed us that we can no longer clean the highway unless everyone is “vaccinated” for Covid 19. Linn volunteered to organize future cleanups, as she has received the “vaccine”.
Dissolution Clause: Martha introduced the “Dissolution Clause” and discussion ensued as to how it should be applied to the distribution of assets upon dissolution of the Darrington Strong organization
