Darrington Strong Board Meeting Minutes
Monday, November 20, 2023
The meeting was held at Rick’s home and Marla called the meeting to order.
Attendees: Carson Tavenner, Marla Skaglund, Rick Knight, Roselie Rasmussen
Approval of the Monthly Treasurer’s Report:
Carson submitted the current treasurer’s report for review (showing a $33,097.62 balance for all accounts). Rick moved to “approve the treasurer’s report for November 20, 2023″, Carson seconded and the motion carried.
Approval of Last Meeting’s Minutes:
Rick moved to “approve the minutes of the October 16, 2023 Darrington Strong Board meeting”; Roselie seconded and the motion carried.
Unfinished Business:
Websites: Rick addressed a problem with posting the board meeting minutes to the darringtonstrong.org site.
New Business:
SR-530 Road Cleanup: Marla mentioned that Joel Goodman may be a potential person to manage the volunteer litter removal and she will invite him to the January 17 community meeting.
Mountain Life Festival: Marla recapped the last meeting of the fledgling organization and light discussion ensued as to the role of Darrington Strong in this event.
Membership: Roselie began a discussion about potential methods to increase membership. Carson presented an outline for a membership drive that he will share via e-mail so all board members can comment.
